The UI Accessibility Technical Standards Committee (ATSC) is an ad-hoc committee convened to advise on technical issues in the area of digital accessibility. The committee is authorized by the IT Accessibility Policy.

Some situations during which the ATSC might be convened include:

• To provide technical advisement to the ADA Coordinator as part of a complaint or exception process;
• To review and explore the status of accessibility standards at Iowa and recommend changes, if any;
• To advise on training needs for campus stakeholders;
• To advise on other matters involving the establishment and application of digital accessibility standards. 

The ATSC is convened and chaired by the Digital Accessibility Coordinator. As an ad-hoc committee, the ATSC is disbanded upon completion of its task.
