In the first of two hands-on sessions, we work with source documents — Word, PowerPoint, InDesign and others — to create accessible shareable PDF documents.

PDF Accessibility Part II is hands-on. Participants will apply accessibility tools (Acrobat, PDF Accessibility Checker) to remediate documents for improved accessibility. We'll also explore order, content, and tag tools to better understand three core aspects of more accessible PDFs.

Faculty, instructional staff, instructional designers, and other educators are welcome to a 90-minute presentation on accessibility techniques in ICON, the University of Iowa implementation of Canvas. eden jones of the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology, will lead this session.
