Some things to be aware of when using online meeting platforms:

  • Does the platform present barriers to access?
  • Are basic controls accessible to all users?
  • Are all platform features necessary for this presentation?
  • Does the platform require a plug-in, install, or run directly through browser?
  • Specific considerations: CART/captions, chat box, raise hand, online polling, screen sharing, annotations
  • Consider assigning a meeting concierge to assist with user issues:
    • Dedicated chat
    • Phone contact
    • Annotation/whiteboard activities
    • Connection issues
    • Other
