The Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is a document vendors can use to describe the accessibility of their product. VPAT is currently in version 2.0.

While VPAT can provide some insight into a product’s accessibility, these documents are created by and for the vendor, and should not be viewed as comprehensive or authoritative. Vendors should use the results of their VPAT to prepare a Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR). ACR preparers can provide product accessibility information that documents conformance with WCAG 2.0, Section 508, and European Standard EN 301 549.

Internal requestors should obtain an VPAT and/or Accessibility Conformance Report from the prospective vendor.
